Important Upcoming MIST Deadlines, Meeting Dates!

Assalamu Alaikum, Bronx Science Brigade!

This email is packed full of info so please read carefully since its all pretty relevant and important to you.

The financial aid application deadline is this Friday, February 2nd at 11:59 pm. Applications after this date will, unfortunately, not be considered.

The early submission deadlines for competitions are as follows:

Four Weeks Prior to Tournament - Friday, February 16th:

• Business Venture Proposal

• Community Service Abstract

• Science Fair Abstract

Two Weeks Prior to Tournament - Friday, March 2nd:

• Poetry

• Prepared Essay

• Short Fiction

• Short Film

• Social Media

• Graphic Design

UPCOMING MIST MEETINGS: These meetings are MANDATORY for all members of the MIST team. Please plan ahead to make yourself available on these dates. If you cannot come for any reason or have any concerns, please reach out to me or Aisha and let us know. These meetings will be structured time in which everybody can get together to work on their respective competition in an environment where you can rehearse, get feedback, and get inspired. The vibe in the room is pretty amazing and these meetings are instrumental to your success, so you must attend! Here are the tentative dates:

• Wednesday, February 7 in room 319 at 3:45PM

• Wednesday, February 28 in room 319 at 3:45PM

• Pre-MIST Potluck date: (most likely, but not confirmed) March 11 from 11AM - 6PM

All of you should have started your competitions by this point. We've got a little over a month until MIST so it's crunch time. If you need any help/feedback on your competition, the board is here to help! Shoot us an email or hit us up on any other social media and we'd more than happy to assist.
